January 2024 Newsletter Are you a crafting enthusiast or a Lego fan? Join us for our Crafters Group on Sunday, January 7 and 21 from 1-3pm or Lego Club on Sunday, January 14 and 28 from 1-3pm.

Chat with Caroline Dear Wonderful Patrons, Our two town libraries – West Buxton Public Library and Berry Memorial Library – will be hosting “One Book, One Community,” a community reading event, starting in February. The Director of Berry Memorial Library and I have chosen 3 titles. We would like you to vote on your favorite and the title with the most votes will be the book the community reads. See “Stay Tuned…” for more information. Are you a crafting enthusiast? Join us for our Crafters Group on Sunday, January 7 and Sunday, January 21 from 1-3pm. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect, share ideas, and work on a craft project. This group will meet every other Sunday. If you would like to craft at another day and time other than Sunday, join me for “Bring-your-own-craft” night on Thursday, January 18 from 6:30-7:30pm. (“Bring-your-own-craft” night is a monthly program on the third Thursday of the month). If you have thought about writing your memoir, join Lorraine Lindstedt at one or both of the memoir writing workshops via Zoom from 6:30-8:30pm on Wednesday, January 10 and Wednesday, January 31. Try a challenge or free build during Lego Club, which will now meet every other Sunday afternoon from 1-3pm. Lego Club will be on Sunday, January 14 and Sunday, January 28. All ages are welcome. You may arrive and leave at your leisure within this time frame. Feel free to join one or more Lego Clubs as your schedule allows. Join me for Story Time on Tuesday mornings from 10:30-11am. Listen to a story, sing some songs, enjoy some felt board fun, and participate in a craft. Stuffies usually make an appearance! 📚✨ “One Book, One Community” 📚✨

Embark on a community-wide reading adventure as our two town libraries – West Buxton Public Library and Berry Memorial Library – present “One Book, One Community”! Both librarians have carefully selected three compelling titles each, and now it’s your turn to help choose the one book that will bring our community together. Northeaster Brighter Than the Sun

Vote for your favorite from these three potential titles at the library or via email, and the title with the most votes will be our shared community read starting in February. Copies of the chosen book will be provided at both libraries, inviting you and other patrons to delve into the same captivating story and share your thoughts.
This program is a celebration of the joy of reading and the power of community connections. Stay tuned for the voting process, and let’s discover a story that will unite our community in the love of literature!

The program this month is Thursday, December 21.
Bring whatever project you are working on to enjoy crafting with others. This program is on the third Thursday of each month.










LEGO Club
*NOTE: LEGO Club is now from 1-3pm every other Sunday.
This month, Lego Club is on January 14 and January 28.
Drop ins welcome.
Take one of our LEGO challenges, make a design from “The LEGO Ideas Book,” or create your own design.
All LEGO creations stay at the library so there will be plenty of bricks for the next event.
Caroline will display any creations on the windowsill next to the makerspace table until the next event. Monthly Calendar of Events
