Dear Wonderful Patrons, It’s officially summer, and the summer reading program starts Tuesday, July 11! Earn raffle tickets to try to win a $10 Amazon gift card or a $10 gift card to Low’s Variety by reading and/or completing the Bingo board. See the following “Stay Tuned…” page for more information. The Library will be hosting a donation-based book sale and lawn games on Sunday, July 16 from noon to 4pm. (The rain date is July 23.) Explore a wide selection of books, including fiction, non-fiction, young adult fiction, and children’s books. Instead of fixed prices, you can donate an amount that feels right to you, making books affordable for everyone. Join us for games including ring toss, lawn tic-tac-toe, “fishing for ducks,” and more. Win prizes and challenge your family and friends! Join me for Story Time on Tuesday mornings from 10:30-11am. Listen to a story, sing some songs, enjoy some felt board fun, and participate in a craft. Try a challenge or free build during Lego Club on Sunday afternoons. All ages are welcome. Lego Club is from 1-3pm but you may arrive and leave at your leisure within this time frame. Feel free to join one or more Lego Clubs as your schedule allows. If you have thought about writing your memoir, join Lorraine Lindstedt at the monthly memoir writing workshop graciously hosted in person by one of the members, Melody, at her home on Wednesday, July 12 at 1pm. For more information, email Lorraine at lindcabin@gmail.com. Continue reading to hear the latest news and events from the West Buxton Public Library. Thank you for your support and I hope to see you soon at the library. Sincerely, Caroline Nickerson Library Director

Stay Tuned… The Summer Reading Program for all ages starts Tuesday, July 11 and ends Tuesday, August 15. The theme this summer is All Together Now, encouraging kindness. Want to try to win a $10 Amazon gift card or a $10 gift card to Low’s Variety? Kids (Youth): For every 20 minutes you read, color a circle on your reading log. Earn 1 raffle ticket for each colored circle. Teens: For every 30 minutes you read and record on your reading log, earn 1 raffle ticket. Adults: For every hour you read and record on your reading log, earn 1 raffle ticket. For all ages, read and complete kindness related activities on an optional Bingo board for further raffle tickets. Get 5 in a row to earn 1 raffle ticket. Get 5 in a row without the free space to earn 2 raffle tickets. All ages of readers may pick a prize from the treasure chest each time they visit the library with their bingo boards and/or reading logs.
